Photography is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. Being a graphic designer for many years now, then a web designer, it was time to bring in this other element.
After seeing me post some of my photos on Facebook, time and again, my sister-in-law would tell me that I have a gift and ought to be making greeting cards. I always shrugged off the idea, but the last time she said it, something clicked, and I said, “Why not?” I checked around and didn’t see anything like what I had in mind being sold, so I decided to jump in and see what happened.
Since then, I have been collecting and shooting some of my favorite Santa Barbara scenes, printed up my first set of cards, created this website, and came up with the idea of selling sets of 12 so that many faces of Santa Barbara can be had within one set. I have also been researching and pulling together some tins and a beautiful bamboo pen to include with the sets that can be used well after the cards have been sent off.
It’s all a work in progress. I have more fun sets in mind, but decided to start with what I thought was the quintessential Santa Barbara. I hope you like them.
